There were 500, of the 1929 Sangamo Clock Catalogs printed especially for attendees of the 2008 Ward Francillon Time Symposium held in Springfield, IL and each copy is a hand-numbered, Limited Edition. Sangamo electrically wound clocks hold a unique place in electric horology, as they were actually giant electrically wound pocket watches, with gold plated gearing and finely plated/damasked movements. They were built in the same complex as the Illinois Watch Company (later the Hamilton Watch Company) and the early movements used 11-jewel, 16-Size Illinois platforms (later Hamilton 7 and 11-Jewel platforms). In fact the President of the Sangamo Electric Company was Jacob Bunn, Jr, who at the same time was the President of the Illinois Watch Company.
